My second approach was to pin down what my target audience is and how this will effect the design of the card, price and sales costs. From this i found that my card had to suit all ranges as the cards may be bought for people, for themselves or different age ranges buying for each other. This made me consider a design approach that was clear and appealing to a whole range of buyers

Thirdly i broke down what the brief deliverables were. This helped me get a clear understanding of what was needed and what had to be considered, instead of me getting straight into ideas and not taking this into account immediately and them having unnecessary designs or ones that don't work.
These designs sheets have helped me alot to get a clear head for the brief and to start generating appropriate designs that fit the brief. Usually i have a tendency to get stuck in straight away and forget about all the important stuff before i even get down to designing, so by doing it this way i hope to have a smooth design process that is relevant to the brief at hand.

The brief, which can be viewed in full here was to create the imagery for a series of christmas cards for a target audience of the general public and corporate businesses.
The ICA asked to consider,
- cutting edge design
- contemporary art
- innovation
- creativity
- aesthetics
- stimulation
- Attractivness
My approach for this brief is to create a series of typographic cards that portray the general standard christmas we all recognize but in a new stylish way that would attract the interests of not only the customer but of the person(s) that may receive the product.
