typography - initial idea designs

using various type designs i used some christmas phrases to generate some ideas for the type for my card designs. i think a style that links with the festive season would work  more effectivley, although i do think the bold simple type such as the top left may work and keep it within the contempoary style that the brief was asking for.

Taking some inspiration from the many rarely used characters that typefaces come with, i saw that the asterisks' could represent snowflakes for the festive season. this could create appealing imagery for the front of the cards, that would be contemporary and appealing to a variety of age ranges.

moving on from my initial ideas for using asterisks to represent snowflakes, i creates a few from different typefaces. Using the theory that every snowflake is different, it would be a series of snowflakes that are different because their asterisks are all different in some way.

Still using typography i came up with various ways in which i could approach the theme using typography and image. There is the idea to have a christmas saying but translate it through several languages, Or to create imagery using typography, with well known christmas phrases and/or songs.
